AWCCS Membership

The AWCCS contributes to a variety of local charities and is reviewing continually the charities and projects in Scotland..
In the early years, surplus funds were donated annually to a selected cause, usually to do with women and children and usually focused in Scotland or Edinburgh. Particular projects were also selected for fundraising events - the earliest was to aid the purchase of a minibus for hospital transport, and in subsequent years the Club has raised funds for the Disablement Income Group and the Margaret Blackwood Foundation, Barnardos, the Malcolm Sargent Fund, and Women's Aid Scotland. More recently, the Club has raised money for the Scotland Yard Adventure Centre for special needs children.
Each year the Social and Charity Chairs choose the charity for which we work. This year it will be: The Prince's Trust in Scotland and Children in Scotland.
